National Lottery Authority of Liberia Donates Essential Supplies to Disabled Community.


The Management of the National Lottery-Liberia (NLA) has donated consignments of food and none food items to the Group of 77 through the Office of the 2nd Lady, Madam Stephanie Dahn-Koung, Wife of Liberia’s Vice President, H. E. Jeremiah Kpang Koung.
NLA’s donation followed a formal request from Vice President, H.E. Jeremiah Kpang Koung for the Management of the National Lottery Authority to lend helping hands to the Group of 77 headed by the 2nd Lady for their wellbeing.
Making the presentation to the 2nd Lady on Newport Street on Monday, March 4, 2024, NLA’s Director General, Hon. Reginald K. Nagbe said NLA over the years, NLA has made significant contributions to the Disabled Community in Liberia especially in the areas of scholarship, economic and other form of empowerments.
Hon. Nagbe assured NLA’s commitment to its mandate of providing dedicated leadership in the gaming sector and providing special assistance and services to the Disabled Community in Liberia highlighting organized registered Disabled Groups, of wish the Group of 77 is a subset of the disabled community in Liberia.
Receiving the items on behave of the 2nd Lady’s Office, Mr. Macdonald Metzger, Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration in the Office of VP Jeremiah Kpang Koung, thanked the NLA DG and the Welfare Department for such good assistance and promised that the food and none food items will be used for the intended purpose.
He urged NLA to continue doing good in helping the disabled community in Liberia especially the Group of 77.
About 125 bags of (25 kg rice), 11 cartoons of oil, 11 cartoons of soap, 11 cartoons of chicken soup amongst other items were donated to the Office of the 2nd Lady for the Group of 77.
